Describe a time you felt completely lost.

Prompt Response: A time I felt completely lost was last summer when I went to New York city, I didn't feel lost in the way of like not having anyone with me because my family was with me the whole time but I grew up in the south mostly Florida and Georgia so i had never really been to a metropolis type city before. New York was cramped, tall, loud and full of people, I felt so lost in this environment so different from what I knew. Every turn I took felt like walking into a different world and I hated imagining what it would be like to navigate the city alone.

Summary: All of the groups presented their PowerPoints on the jealous father and some made mistakes throughout the presentation.

Reflection: I didn't really understand a few of the projects but I feel like my group did a pretty good job presenting our PowerPoint even though we were missing a person.

Prompt Response:  There are many times in my life where I was judged unfairly, but the most common and honestly aggravating is when I'm judged and people make assumptions about me for being the youngest child in my family, its especially common in my family where they just think that I'm immature or useless just because I'm the youngest. In “The Interlopers” by Saki, Ulrich and Georg view each other as interlopers, outsiders intruding on their land and their lives. Think about a time when you felt like an interloper or when someone else felt out of place in your world. How did that situation affect relationships, emotions, or outcomes?

Prompt Response:  Im sure this is a pretty common feeling but for the first month or two of highschool I felt like a big interloper in lakeside. I left 8th grade halfway through the year so I separated from my normal friends for a few months and when I finally came back to normal public school and my old friends I didn't see all of them and for the first semester of freshman year I literally ate lunch completely alone not talking to anyone. I eventually made new friends and reconnected with my middle school friends but in the time before that I felt really alone and like an intruder in public school. Of today’s 15 vocabulary words, which three do you think you will use the most in your speaking and writing this semester? Explain why each word feels useful or powerful to you.

Prompt Response:  first word I think I will find myself using is Amoral because a. Ive already used it many times in both writing and speaking and b. I really like writing about human and animal physiology and amoral is used a lot in those topics. second word I will find myself using is affinity as I find it a better way to describe mildly liking or loving something  without just saying "like" or 'love".  And finally I think I'll find myself using amorphous because its commonly used in a lot of horror writing and descriptions which is my favorite genre of any type of content and its usage allows for a lot of interpretation from readers.
