After reading Lawrence Ferlinghetti's poem "Constantly Risking Absurdity," which explores the poet's daring craft, write about your most absurd personal experience. Describe a single, specific incident that felt ridiculously bold or foolish. Ensure your response is vivid, concise, and captures the essence of absurdity.

Prompt Response: The most absurd moment in my life was when I went rafting down a river and this river had a straight waterfall drop that was twice the length of the raft we were on and our raft basically went from horizontal to vertical in less then 2 seconds. The person in the very back of the raft actually flew off but we had no idea until we got a little ways away from the waterfall because when your on the fall all of the water surrounds you and you cant hear or see anything else except the water.

Summary: We looked over, annotated, and discussed as a class the poem "Constantly Risking Absurdity" by Lawrence Ferlinghetti

Reflection: I learned about the similarities between how an acrobat performs and how a poet writes and presents themselves through the words of a poet.
