In “The Interlopers” by Saki, Ulrich and Georg view each other as interlopers, outsiders intruding on their land and their lives. Think about a time when you felt like an interloper or when someone else felt out of place in your world. How did that situation affect relationships, emotions, or outcomes?

Prompt Response: Im sure this is a pretty common feeling but for the first month or two of highschool I felt like a big interloper in lakeside. I left 8th grade halfway through the year so I separated from my normal friends for a few months and when I finally came back to normal public school and my old friends I didn't see all of them and for the first semester of freshman year I literally ate lunch completely alone not talking to anyone. I eventually made new friends and reconnected with my middle school friends but in the time before that I felt really alone and like an intruder in public school.

Summary: We worked on the interlopers common lit assignment

Reflection: I learned more about writing implications in stories about antagonize between two main characters
