Write about a fear you have overcome.

 Prompt Response: A fear I have overcome is funnily enough the fear of monsters in my basement, my basement is very messy and is just used as storage in my house so even when its light you cant see everything and it makes me feel like there's something hiding in it. My room directly faces the door to the basement ever since I moved rooms so I am the person who always has to go get something for someone so just overtime I got less and less scared of something being in the basement both when the light is on or off.

Summary: Today we worked on assignment were we read an article and had to identify different claims that were made in the article

Reflection: I learned how to spot claims throughout articles and how to go about categorizing them

Prompt Response:  There are many times in my life where I was judged unfairly, but the most common and honestly aggravating is when I'm judged and people make assumptions about me for being the youngest child in my family, its especially common in my family where they just think that I'm immature or useless just because I'm the youngest. Others who aren't even in my family will just assume that I'm the favorite child of my parents 3 children just because I'm the youngest or that I'm spoiled or am a brat simply for being born after my brothers. In “The Interlopers” by Saki, Ulrich and Georg view each other as interlopers, outsiders intruding on their land and their lives. Think about a time when you felt like an interloper or when someone else felt out of place in your world. How did that situation affect relationships, emotions, or outcomes?

Prompt Response:  Im sure this is a pretty common feeling but for the first month or two of highschool I felt like a big interloper in lakeside. I left 8th grade halfway through the year so I separated from my normal friends for a few months and when I finally came back to normal public school and my old friends I didn't see all of them and for the first semester of freshman year I literally ate lunch completely alone not talking to anyone. I eventually made new friends and reconnected with my middle school friends but in the time before that I felt really alone and like an intruder in public school. Prompt Response:  first word I think I will find myself using is Amoral because a. Ive already used it many times in both writing and speaking and b. I really like writing about human and animal physiology and amoral is used a lot in those topics. second word I will find myself using is affinity as I find it a better way to describe mildly liking or loving something  without just saying "like" or 'love".  And finally I think I'll find myself using amorphous because its commonly used in a lot of horror writing and descriptions which is my favorite genre of any type of content and its usage allows for a lot of interpretation from readers.
