Both poems by Robert Frost explore the passage of time and life’s changing moments. Write about a time when something in your life changed more quickly than you expected. How does this experience connect to Frost’s idea that “Nothing gold can stay”?

Prompt Response: A time in my life when something changed quicker than expected was the summer between middle school and high-school. I had so much anxiety about going to high-school and i really hoped that the summer between 8th and 9th grade would be long but unfortunately it went by quickly.

Summary: We read two poems, analyzed the first as a class and then individually analyzed the second

Reflection: I learned more about how to analyze a poem on my own
