Prompt Response:  My mind is like a crowded bustling city. It's always loud even through the night with flashing lights, music, people chattering and a sense of urgency. Prompt Response:  Something I wish I had more of is knowledge, being smarter and knowing more about both simple and difficult things would be an amazing gift.   Prompt Response:  The most creative thing i have ever made was a large portrait of a dragon I made, it was a bunch of different colors cuz I wanted it to look iridescent Summary: We began working long the visual part of our origin myth narrative Reflection:  I learned how to use Adobe express and its really similar to canva

Everyone has burning questions about life. Mysteries we wonder about but don’t always have clear answers for. Think about your biggest questions about existence, purpose, or the world around you. Write a blog post where you share at least two of your most burning questions about life and explain why these questions matter to you.

Prompt Response: My first question is "why did humans create religion?", it has and has had an extremely important influence to societies all around the world, an I just really wonder why people created religion and what led to the spread of them. My second question is "why does intelligence seem to equal malice in animals" I feel like intelligence would make a species kinder but with examples like dolphins, apes, and humans we see that these species tend to act  "evil" or unkind. Summary: We began working on our origin myth narrative using a plan than write method, I completed it in class and it was a fun assignment Reflection:  I learned I make a lot of spelling and grammatical errors when I type lol, the writable thing just kept correcting me about misspelling or commas.

Describe a time you felt completely lost.

Prompt Response:  A time I felt completely lost was last summer when I went to New York city, I didn't feel lost in the way of like not having anyone with me because my family was with me the whole time but I grew up in the south mostly Florida and Georgia so i had never really been to a metropolis type city before. New York was cramped, tall, loud and full of people, I felt so lost in this environment so different from what I knew. Every turn I took felt like walking into a different world and I hated imagining what it would be like to navigate the city alone. Summary: All of the groups presented their PowerPoints on the jealous father and some made mistakes throughout the presentation. Reflection:  I didn't really understand a few of the projects but I feel like my group did a pretty good job presenting our PowerPoint even though we were missing a person.

  Prompt Response:  Ive adapted to the demands if this course by both keeping track of what assignments in need to do, complete the daily Blog, and discuss/work together with other students from both my period and other Amer Lit classes. One strength I anticipate is that I am very adept reader, I read at a college level and I love to discuss plots, themes, and characters of the book I'm currently reading. One challenge I anticipate will unfortunately be the daily blogs, I can see myself not getting it done in class and being to tired when I am home and falling behind on them as has happened to me many times in my highschool career. Summary: In class today we took a Quiz on origin myths, we read a story about the origins of robins and answered some questions. I got a 92 and only missed one question. Reflection:  The quiz was very simple and was a nice refresher on some of the more basic definitions of origin myths, I was a little worried about it but in the end I did reall...

Describe a real-life situation in which jealousy negatively affected a relationship you experienced.

Prompt Response:   A relationship I've had that has been hurt by jealousy was a friendship were my friend got the part ina play that I had auditioned and wanted an I ended up with a much smaller part, I was ruder to them for a little bit while practicing the play but we eventually just reverted back to being friends Summary: We got into groups and read "The jealous father" and began working on our PowerPoint presentation Reflection:  My group made discussion about the story and we talked about different interpretations and symbolism from the text

 Prompt response: A small wooden frog that I received at a summer camp a few years ago, it was the last of its kind being sold at the little pop up where they were selling other things and I was in charge of a booth nearby and talked to the person running it how cute I though it was and by the end of the day it had not been taken and I got it for free Summary: We looked over Navajo creation myth, discussed it, and answers discussion questions about the story Reflection: I learned how the Navajo natives believed our world and people were created

Write about a time you felt connected to nature, like the kinship in Native American myths.

Prompt response: I went to Philmost which is a scout outing where you hike across a mountain range in New Mexico, I went on a 14 day trek and felt connected to nature many different times but one specific moment that stands out to me is when after me and my group hiked up the final mountain called the Tooth of Time our campsite had a area kind of off to the side that was open and you could see all around the entire area of Philmont for miles. I remember waking up the next morning before the sun had really risen and just going to that spot and sitting looking out at the mountains, listening to the birds and the wind, feeling the grass and dirt on my hands made me feel connected to the mountain and nature. Summary: We took notes in Native American lit and went over Vocab lesson 1. Refection: I learned about the different definitions of myths, religion, and urban legends. I also learned about what makes those three things different
